Good place with great amenities like free parking, wi-fi, and 24-hour reception. On my first stay, the staff helped me find the best taxi service. I can't wait to return for Christmas!

I thought the accommodations were a good value, though our room had no view to speak of.

It was very convenient to the va Hospital in Durham and we were able to go back and forth for our appointments with ease. The breakfast was excellent but the waiter who started with us just disappeared and another waiter picked up and gave us excellent service. Our room was great. ONe thing that is needed is a bar on the bathroom wall near the tub so an older person can get out easier.

friendly staff
when i checked in one day later, due to airplane delay, I was told that my booking was never valid. Thank God that there's still room. The booking system is not reliable for an international traveler like me. Besides, I put on sign 'not to disturb', so the hotel skip the housekeeping but still charge me 'auxiliary service fee, $5 per day', what on earth does that come from?

Walked into the lobby to experience an old and musty smell. Right then and there I should have walked back out. Went to the room and thought it was ok, but over my 3night stay, my husband and I became sick (fever, sour throat, sinus congestion, etc....)from the air quality in the room. Probably due to the mildew/mold spores that the air conditioning unit was kicking out. My husband also left will multiple bug bites on his legs and it was our mistake we did not check for bed bugs. Overall I would NEVER stay at this hotel again. GROSS!!!!!
- Poor air quality (mold/mildew smell throughout the hotel/room) - big bits (probably bed bugs) - pool was nasty (massive amounts of chemicals) - carpet was old and bubbled up in area - tub had rust like marks in the corners because of paint chips

Chose this hotel for its pet-friendly policy and proximity to Duke. Staff was accommodating, ensuring we were away from busy areas for our dogs' comfort. Room was nice but the carpet wasn't my favorite. Unclear fees left a sour taste at checkout.

Location, Entrance Lobby and their shuttle services to various locations in Durham.
The Hotel is about 33 years old. It needs a lot of renovation and modernisation. Although everything still works it seems dated now.
